Fashionopolism - Release notes

Our themes are updated regularly in order to ensure that when Shopify release a new feature our merchants may benefit from it. Updating your theme is optional and will come with it's own hurdles where theme versions currently do not update automatically or inherit code from older versions.

Below you will see a history of theme versions and release dates including bug fixes, major rebuilds and minor style edits.

v9.5.0 - 04/18/2024

We have removed all known bugs and removed all code references to Shopifys product reviews app which will cease functioning on May 6th 2024. Follow Shopifys documentation to migrate to another app.

Removed

• We have removed all code associated with the Shopify reviews app as part of a mandatory Shopify update.

Added

• We have added a checkbox to product and featured product sections to make the display of tax information optional.

Fixes and other improvements

• We fixed an issue with tabbed collection titles not spacing correctly if they wrap to 2 lines.
• We fixed and issue with slideshow buttons not wrapping correctly when space is limited.
• We fixed an issue where the wrong percentage saved could be shown on products that have multiple compare at prices.
• We fixed an issue with tabbed collections not changing when selected.
• We fixed an issue introduced in v9.4.1 where option titles like size and color would show above swatches in the product grid.
• We changed the free shipping information area of the shopping cart to be disabled by default when the theme is installed for the first time or updated.

This release includes the new Shopify product and filter color swatch feature, adds small improvements and fixes all known bugs.

We’ve fixed all known bugs, added some improvements to the themes accessibility score along with minor changes to ensure compliance with Shopifys latest theme store requirements.

Fashionopolism 8.2.0 replaces the theme's existing lazy loading to use the modern web browser's native lazy loading capabilities. We also fixed various issues and simplified the Image with Text Overlay section settings.

The purpose of this update was to fix known bugs ahead of an upcoming feature update.

We would have completed the feature update with this release but Shopifys new theme update procedure stipulates that we can not handle both update types at the same time.
